In the absence of recognized qualifications, a large proportion of people face severe disadvantages in getting recognised even though they might have the necessary knowledge and skills. The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process can help these individuals acquire a formal qualification that matches their knowledge and skills, and thereby contribute to their path towards ministry and Christian work.

RPL is recognised under the Seychelles Qualification Authority, as stated in their RPL National Guidelines: RPL in the Seychelles means to recognise and validate knowledge, skills and competencies obtained inside and outside the formal education and training systems, for a variety of purposes. It is a process whereby prior learning acquired formally, non-formally and informally is assessed against standards or learning outcomes of a qualification, and is given recognition.
