The two year Advanced Certificate in Bible Studies will focus on deepening your biblical knowledge of the New and Old Testament, the fundamentals of salvation, the work of the Holy Spirit, the Christian ministry, church growth and develop an understanding of ministry and gifts. Each course will be covered over a period of ten weeks each, with a break of 2 weeks between each Course. An assessment will be undertaken at the end of each course.
C201 The Bible - an overview of the entire bible, including a discussion on the source and origin of the holy scriptures.
C202 The Gospel of John – an introduction to the Life, Teachings, Claims and Works of Jesus Christ.
C203 The Holy Spirit - an introduction on the person of the Holy Spirit, His Attributes, His Works and friend who abides in the Spirit-filled believer.
C204 The Covenants of God - an understanding of the the key covenants God made to His People will help us better understand Him, His attributes and how He continues to keep His promises.
C205 Prayer and Worship - a practical course which presents prayer as preparation for worship, and worship as a life which declares the existence of God, demonstrates the personal nature of God, the reality of heaven, and the promise of the His Kingdom.
C206 Christian Stewardship - explains the various tasks Christ has called us to undertake, the kind of Christian worker we ought to be, and how we can find and grow in the ministry.
C207 History of Christianity - an introductory course on the life and thought of the Christian church from the apostolic period up to the 20th Century, with the purpose of understanding the growth, milestones and challenges of the Christian church throughout its long history.
C208 Evangelism - a practical course on sharing Gods saving word and your experience as a Christian with people of different backgrounds.
PE901 Project - A team-oriented project based upon the topics taught in this course.
The minimum entry requirement for the course will be Secondary School or S5 completion Certificate and the BIAGOS Certificate in Discipleship. Applicants wishing to obtain recognition of prior learning (RPL) will need to follow the appropriate procedures specified on the Enrollment Page.
